The LinkedIn suite — seven APIs, no login, no cookies
Everything here reads only what LinkedIn shows to a visitor who is not signed in. None of
these sources asks for your account, your password or an li_at session cookie, so none of
them can get your LinkedIn account restricted. Each one takes what the previous one returns, which is
why they are listed as a workflow rather than a catalogue.
The chain
| Step | You want to | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Find people by name, job title, company, school or location, with no profile URL in hand | LinkedIn People Search API |
| 2 | Turn those profile URLs into full structured profiles: experience, education, follower counts | LinkedIn Profile API |
| 3 | Enrich the employer: industry, size, headquarters, specialties, follower count | LinkedIn Company API |
| 4 | See what that company is hiring for, with salary data where LinkedIn publishes it | LinkedIn Jobs API |
| 5 | Search jobs as a guest, with filters, total result counts and the autocomplete ids the filters take | LinkedIn Job Scraper |
| 6 | Read what a person or company posts, with reactions, comments and shares | LinkedIn Posts API |
| 7 | Map the skills people list to courses, learner reviews and full syllabi | LinkedIn Learning API |
Three worked chains
Build a prospect list for one account. Run the Company API on the account to confirm it is the company you mean and to get its size and industry. Run People Search with that company name and the titles you sell to, and you have the people. Feed their profile URLs to the Profile API for work history, then to the Posts API to see what each of them has said publicly in the last month, which is the opening line of the message you send.
Read a competitor’s hiring plan. The Jobs API by company name returns every open role with location and, where published, pay. The Job Scraper adds the total count LinkedIn itself reports for a query, so you can chart “open engineering roles at X” week over week without collecting every listing. People Search by company and the title you care about tells you who already holds that role.
Source candidates from a school. People Search by school and a job title finds the alumni. The Profile API fills in the years and the employers. The Learning API turns the skills those profiles list into the courses that teach them, which is the difference between a shortlist and a shortlist with a reason attached.
Why the no-login part matters
Some LinkedIn tools ask you to paste your own session cookie so they can browse as you. That works until LinkedIn notices, and when it does the restriction lands on your account, not on the tool. These seven sources have no field to paste a cookie into because the code has no way to use one. The trade-off is stated plainly on every page: a signed-out reader cannot see private profiles, connection degree, mutual connections, email addresses or phone numbers, and none of these sources claims to.
Reliability, in numbers that refresh nightly
The People Search API, the entry point to the chain, completed 100.0% of the runs other users started in the last 30 days, across 13,913 runs since launch. Every card below carries the same 30-day success rate and adoption count for its source, pulled from the platform API each night rather than typed in. Where a number is missing it is because the platform does not publish it.
The seven sources
Search LinkedIn by title, employer, school or place and get the matching public profiles as rows.
Collect public LinkedIn person profiles as clean, structured JSON.
Collect public LinkedIn company pages as clean, structured JSON.
Search public LinkedIn job listings as clean, structured JSON.
Collect public LinkedIn posts as clean, structured JSON.
Course records with rating, review text, syllabus and the skills each course claims to teach.
Run them from an AI agent
Every source has an MCP server, so Claude, Cursor or any MCP client can run the whole chain as tools: search for people, open the profiles, look up the company, check the jobs. Each source page has the install snippet. If you would rather call them directly, they are all on Apify, billed per result with a free tier: start with the People Search API.
